Volcanoes National Park
Volcanoes National Park is a true conservation success story and now essentially the center for all Rwanda gorilla trekking safaris, housing the highest number of mountain gorillas and regarded as the last refuge of this critically endangered species. The park is home to several habituated families that are visited by tourist daily. Although famous for the mountain gorillas, the park is also home to Golden monkeys, Forest elephant and a number of other mammal species occasionally seen.
Best time to visit would be June to September.

Akagera
Akagera National Park stands testament to Rwanda’s commitment to sustainable tourism and conservation. Offering Big 5 safaris on the wildlife-rich plains, situated on the eastern boundary of Rwanda with Tanzania. The reserve is famous for its rich biodiversity, encompassing savannah plains, wetlands, woodlands and a maze of rivers and lakes.

Nyungwe
Nyungwe is the largest tract of forest in Rwanda and home to a thriving population of chimpanzees, making it one of the best places for chimpanzee tracking. Nyungwe has a very unique primate diversity, in addition the chimps, there are 12 other African primates found on the reserve including Ruwenzori black and white colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Also regarded as a birdwatching paradise with a number of endemic species.
